Irumbu Kuthirai - Average

Following good success of Naan Sigappu Manithan, GV Prakash comes up with Atharvaa-Priya Anand starrer Irumbu Kuthirai. The film is directed by debutant Yuvaraj Bose and is produced by AGS Entertainment. There is something new in few songs by GVP here and we bring you an exclusive music review on this album that has five songs.

Penne Penne

Voices: G.V. Prakash Kumar, Raja Bhavatharini, Yaazhini

Lyrics: Thamarai

What makes the song special is the clarity of lyrics that makes it commendable on whole. Music director GV Prakash clearly understood the significance of lyrics and has apparently lowered down the musical impact with mild instrumentals, though the rhythmic pattern is little louder. Raja Bhavatharini keeps up the song with her best vocalization.

Ange Ippo Enna Seigiraai

Voices: Vijay Prakash, Mugdha Hasabnis, M.M. Manasi

Lyrics: Thamarai

The voices are so cute and the GV Prakash has used a new-fangled rhythmic pattern that is so cool and pleasant. It is almost like a conversational number that keeps you engaged. Vijay Prakash and MM Manasi are the right choices for this song and their aplomb rendition creates a decent impact.

Pondicherry

Voices: A.R. Raihanah, Priya Hemesh

Lyrics: Thamarai

It’s an item number and has a couple of promising singers – A.R. Raihanah and Priya Hemesh rendering the track with an appealing effort. Nothing much to emphasise on the highlighting traits, perhaps it might gain the popularity with the visuals.

Alaipaayum

Voices: Vijay Prakash, Andrea Jeremiah

Lyrics: Thamarai

GV Prakash has used up the dubstep formula to this song and these singers – Vijay Prakash and Andrea Jeremiah shift their paradigms intonating with good style. The interludes and preludes offer a good experience to the music listeners and if the visuals are canned with exotic looks, this song is sure to make a big time on the screens.

Hello Brother

Voices: Chinna Ponnu, Suchitra, Ranjith

Lyrics: Pa. Vijay

The album ends up with a different note and has some interesting elements. This includes the combination of singers like Chinna Ponnu, Suchitra and Ranjith. The usage of some old time chorus in Tamil cinema becomes a highlight here and the percussions are very played in rhythmic zone.

Overall, GV Prakash has managed to give some tunes that catch up our attention at ease and rest of them are just middling. It sounds like only the visuals will enhance the musical factor.
