AR Rahman To Compose Music For Bruce Lee's Biopic

Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman has been roped in to compose the music for the Bruce Lee biopic, which is being directed by Academy Award nominated filmmaker Shekhar Kapur. Little Dragon, the authorized biopic of the martial arts legend and actor Bruce Lee, is a contemporary dramatization of the 1950s Hong Kong social and political forces that shaped Bruce Lee into the most famous martial arts star and a significant modern day philosopher.

"A. R. Rahman is doing the music for the film. I’m excited about the music that Rahman will compose for the project," said Kapur. The filmmaker’s daughter, Kaveri, will also be doing a single with Rahman. "Kaveri and I are going to be coming down to Chennai. She will be recording a single, not a film song," added Kapur.

A teenager, Kaveri is Kapur’s daughter with actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi. Her previous songs include "Did You Know", "Half a Heart" and "Again".

Meanwhile, the upcoming projects of 'Mozart of Madras' include Vijay's Mersal, Rajinikanth's, 2.0, the epic Sangamithra, GV Prakash's Sarvam Thala Maayam in Tamil followed by Majid Majidi’s Beyond the Clouds, Farhan Akhtar's The Fakir of Venice, Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy's 99 Songs in Hindi and, Viceroy's House in English.

There is also talk doing the rounds that the Academy Award-winning composer will be scoring the music for Mohanlal's 1000 crore multilingual Mahabharata film Randamoozham.
