Sivalinga - Commercial Entertainer!

Sivalinga is a Tamil Action horror comedy film directed by P. Vasu. This film starred by Raghava Lawrence, Ritika Singh, and Vadivelu in lead roles. This film is remake of director Vasu’s earlier Kannada blockbuster film starred by Shivarajkumar.
The Shivalinga Movie is produced by R. Ravindran under Trident Arts Banner. Raghava Lawrence as a Police Officer who investigates a murder. Ritika Singh roled in female lead role. Also Vadivelu teamup with P. Vasu after a long gap. Music is composed by S.S Thaman. Cinematography is handled by Sarvesh Murari.
The movie started with the murder of Raheem(Shakthi) on a train but portrayed as a suicide. But Raheem’s girlfriend files a case that Raheem had no reasons to commit suicide. Shivalingeswaran(Lawrence) is a strict CID Officer who is married to Satya(Ritika Singh), a thrill seeker. Ever since Shiva takes up the case, strange supernatural things start to happen around him.
The more he dig into the case, the more he gets to know more about Raheem’s life. Things get worse when his wife Sathya starts behaving weirdly. What happens to Sathya? Did Shiva prove the reason behind Raheem’s death is murder? Did the criminals get punished? What is going to occur in the end? To find the answers, we have to watch the movie on the silver screen.
The Shivalinga movie has every element the audience can seek for. The movie comes with right mix of comedy & thriller elements. As comparing to original the comedy slot is very good in this film.  The suspense track in the movie was maintained throughout the film. Rithika Singh and Lawrence has done the fabulous job in their roles. Raghava Lawrence played a convincible job as a strict CID officer. Though Shivalinga is her third film in Tamil, Ritika acted very well as Sathya. She portrayed the change of emotions in Sathya well and will scare the audience. Pradeep Rawat did an admirable job as Baba. Shakthi Vasudevan who played Raheem role in the original Kannada version played in Tamil version too. Vadivelu scenes are hilarious and relieve the tension growing in the movie.
P.Vasu Direction is appreciable. He executed all the emotions such as horror, comedy, suspense well. Cinematography by Sarvesh Murari is top notch. Though the movie is not entirely scary, it thrills the audience at some points. Music by S.S.Thaman is not at all helpful. Background score is just average.
