REVIEW

The much-hyped "Thozha" has hit the screens today. The movie is written and directed by Vamsi Paidipally and it has Karthi, Nagarjuna and Tamanna Bhatia in the leads. The film has been simultaneously made in Telugu as "Oopiri."

Prakash Raj, Ali, Jayasudha, Vivek and many others are in the cast. A host of celebs like Anushka Shetty, Shriya Saran, Adivi Sesh and Gabriella Demetriades have added colour to the movie by doing guest appearances.

Gopi Sunder has composed the music for "Thozha" and PS Vinod has handled the cinematography. While Praveen KL has edited the Tamil version, Madhu has edited "Oopiri."

The movie tells the story of a quadriplegic millionaire and an emotionally-challenged person. While Nagarjuna plays the role of a physically-challenged man, Karthi plays his caretaker in "Thozha." It is the South Indian remake of French movie "The Intouchables." "Thozha" is about heart-warming tale of friendship.

STORY

Nagarjuna wealthy quadriplegic (paralysis caused by illness) and his sister Tamanna, are interviewing candidates to be his live-in caregiver.

Karthi, a candidate, has no ambitions to get hired. He is just there to get a signature showing he was interviewed and rejected in order to continue receiving his welfare benefits. But he got select to take care of Nagarjuna.

Next day Karthi returns and learns that he is on a trial period for the live-in caregiver job but without interest. Later learns Nagarjuna's disability and accompanies him in every moment of his life, assisting him in all the ways needed.

Nagarjuna discloses the reason behind his paralysis and how he lost his wife in a Paragliding accident. Later Karthi gets close to his boss and took more care of him. Days ran Nagarjuna gets to know that Karthi has to be with his family and releases him from his job, suggesting he may not want to push a wheelchair all his life.

The rest of the story should be watched on big screen, which is narrated with the highly emotional screenplay.

PERFORMANCE

The director has confirmed the success of the film by choosing the right cast. Nagarjuna, Karthi, Tamannaah, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha has given their finest.

Nagarjuna and Karthi have shown their best performance in this film as usual. Tamannaah has also sacked the hearts of the audience not only with her beauty but as well with good performance and rest of the actors also showed their best skills.

Gopi Sunder, a National Award winning Indian musician, has given the melodious music for the film which shows his class. In all aspects of music, screenplay, cinematography, editing and star cast performance, the movie has been crafted wonderfully.
