REVIEW

The Tamil movie Vetrivel has been released today across India. The movie had been written and directed by Vasantha Mani. The producer of the movie is R. Ravindran. The film features M. Sasikumar and Miya George in the lead roles. The film’s music is composed by D. Imman. S.R Kathir is the cinematographer of the flick. A.L Ramesh handled the editing part of the movie. Lyca Productions will be distributing the movie. The film was earlier announced that it will be hitting the screens on 29 April but the producers have planned to pre-pone the release to 22 April.

The other cast of the movie include Prabhu, Viji Chandrasekhar, Samuthirakani, Thambi Ramaiah, Renuka, Ilavarasu and Ananth Nag playing the other supportive roles.

STORY

"Vetrivel" is the tale of two brothers played by Sasikumar and Ananth Nag and it is set in the rural backdrop. Ilavarasu and Renuka play the roles of their parents. Sasikumar owns a fertilizer shop in the town and he is behind Janani (Mia George), an officer in the government's agricultural department.

The story takes a twist after the hero's brother falls in love with the daughter of the village panchayat president (Prabhu). Things don’t go as planned, as the village head and his family oppose. The boy’s elder brother takes this as his responsibility and strives to unite them; even if it requires him to use violent methods like fights. Will he succeed and how he does it?, is the story you have to watch in theatres. The heart-warming familial moments form the crux of the story.

PERFORMANCE

There are many newcomers are introduced this film. Apart from new faces, there are many talented Tamil artist also performed in Vetrivel. The film has a strong supporting cast that incorporates the National award winner Samuthirakani and veteran Tamil Actor Prabhu. Other actors like Thambi Ramaiah, Renuka, Viji Chandrasekhar and numerous others justified their roles in the movie. D.Imman has evinced the musical score for the film. Imman music helps this film into next level. There are totally 5 songs in this film. S.R.Kathir has took hold of cinematography duty.The film is produced by R.Ravindran under the Trident Arts banner. Lyca Productions which is presently sponsoring Superstar Rajinikanth’s mega science fiction flick “2.0” has gained “Vertrivel”.
